My Word Book Download Trial Version Instructions

Downloading the Evaluation version.

Click the link at the bottom of the page to start the download. You will be prompted to make a selection. Select save file to disk and choose your download location.

The 10.1 Mb file will take approximately 4 minutes to download at 50 kb/ second.

Installing the Evaluation Version.

Double click the "My Word Book Evaluation" icon to start installation.

If you are prompted to restart your computer, please do so, then restart installation. Follow the on screen instructions.

Accessing Program and other features.

The executable and other features are accessed through the Programs Folder in the start menu. Purposely we did not install a desktop short cut.

To create a desktop short cut.

Right click an open area on your desktop, select add new, short cut. Select browse, select Program Files, select My Word Book. Follow on screen instructions to complete shortcut installation.

We have been made aware of 2 bugs experienced by Windows Me users.

Problem: Main window is squished.

Solution: Use the mouse to view handles on the side of the window, left click and drag to the correct size. Repeat this step for bottom of window. Windows will remember the size you created the next time program runs.

Problem: When staring the application and selecting the GO button a runtime error 429 is produced. This bug occurs when the users machine fails to properly register the software's files.

Solution: Perform these steps in the order listed.

Close then restart the application, if this didn't correct the problem then,

close all open applications and restart your computer, try running My Word Book again, if error reoccurs then,

Rerun My Word Book installation (setup) program. DO NOT UN-INSTALL. Should this not correct the problem then please contact us. Include in your message the operating system you are using (Win 98, Me, ?) and Office software ( Word 97, Office XP, etc.) and SR #s (Service Release, Updates).
